    Every Christmas Episode Of "The Office" Ranked From Worst To Best

    Choosing between "Christmas Party" and "A Benihana Christmas" is the most difficult decision I've ever made.

    The holiday season is finally upon us y'all, and what better way to celebrate than by marathoning The Office's Christmas episodes?

    That's right, time to switch up your usual Office rewatch and skip ahead to those festive episodes!

    Lucky for us, Kelly Kapoor herself dropped a list of every Christmas episode the show has done. Of course I decided to binge them all myself and see just how good they are.

    Here are the three things I kept in mind while watching and ranking these:

    1. Does it actually feel like a Christmas episode?

    2. Is it as funny as the normal episodes?

    3. Is there something special or memorable about it?

    And now, without further ado, let's get to the rankings!

    7. "Christmas Wishes" (Season 8, Episode 10)

    NBC

    "Christmas Wishes" isn't a bad episode, but it definitely doesn't hold up to the rest of these. Erin is jealous of Andy's new girlfriend and — while her drunken Stanley impression is great — it's not the most interesting storyline. Also, after being threatened to lose their bonuses, Jim and Dwight prank themselves and try to frame the other, which just isn't as funny as when they prank each other imho.

    6. "Secret Santa" (Season 6, Episode 13)

    There's not a whole lot going on in this episode in all honesty. Half of it is about Michael getting jealous of Phyllis being the office's Santa and the other half is a kinda random plotline about the company being bought out and the Scranton branch potentially losing their jobs. It's all resolved really quickly — the branch is safe! — but losing your job doesn't exactly scream ~Christmas~ to me.

    5. "Dwight Christmas" (Season 9, Episode 9)

    NBC

    The Michael-less episodes just don't hold up to the ones with him in it, I'm sorry! The office forgets to plan a Christmas party, so Dwight throws a Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas. The storyline of Jim starting his new job in Philadelphia and leaving the gang behind isn't my favorite and honestly sucks ON CHRISTMAS, but I will give this a few bonus points for the wholesome Jim and Dwight moment it gives us at the end.

    4. "Classy Christmas" (Season 7, Episode 11 and 12)

    This is a fun episode! Holly is back at the Scranton branch and watching how similar she and Michael are is *chefs kiss*. Daryl bringing his daughter to work is both hilarious and wholesome, so bonus points for that. Dwight and Jim have a massive snowball fight during both these episodes, but the ~funny~ moments in it are pretty hit or miss, no pun intended.

    3. "Moroccan Christmas" (Season 5, Episode 11)

    This episode has one of THE BEST cold opens on the list (pictured above). This episode definitely has some great moments: Dwight resells the year's hottest Christmas toy (Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-ka-ching!), Phyllis is finally in charge of the party planning committee, and Meredith gets so drunk that she catches herself on fire. The whole bit about Meredith's intervention and trying to force her into rehab isn't the most Christmas-y thing, but it's a good episode.

    2. "A Benihana Christmas" (Season 3, Episode 10 and 11)

    NBC

    If you're watching on Netflix, this is a 42-minute special and it's great! Michael gets dumped and rebounds at the greatest place on earth: Benihana. Kevin sings "You Oughta Know" at karaoke, there are two rival Christmas parties, Dwight has a "CIA mission," and honestly, I just love seeing Karen and Pam team up. This whole episode really brings the crew together!

    1. "Christmas Party" (Season 2, Episode 10)

    It's the show's first Christmas episode and it's a classic! Michael splurged on his Secret Santa gift and hates what he got, so he turns it into a game of Yankee Swap. Everyone is drunk by the end after Michael feels bad and picks up a ton of vodka to ~spice up the party.~ We also get a really cute Jim and Pam moment when she trades the iPod she won for the tea pot that Jim got her, filled with a bunch of their inside jokes. It's funny, it's a little wholesome, AND it holds up next to some of The Office's best episodes.
