There's A New "Friends" Cafe In Pune, And OH. MY. GOD.
For everyone who's wanted to dine at Monica's (and Rachel's, and later Chandler's and previously Phoebe's and at one time Joey's and at some point Ross's) apartment.
Yep, there's a new Friends cafe in Pune, and it looks super awesome. The window, of course has the Central Perk logo.
The cafe is run by Pune-based student Preetam Kirad and his sister, and they wanted to get as many authentic things in as possible. Here's Central Perk's iconic orange couch.
Inside the cafe, there's a chalk board with a whole bunch of references, from Joey's signature pickup line to 15 Yemen Road, Yemen – the place Chandler told Janice he'd stay at when he was going to *move* there.
Oh, and did I mention that there's a whole section that's a replica of Monica and Rachel's (and Chandler's and previously Phoebe's and at one time Joey's and at some point Ross's) apartment.
Complete with the iconic purple door.
"We had our interior designer and face painting artist set up the cast portraits," Kirad told BuzzFeed.
Kirad told BuzzFeed that his idea for the cafe was to have a place that Friends fans could come to, enjoy themselves, and revel in the collective joy for the series.
