7 Reasons Why You Should Support Care To Learn

The annual #GiveOzarks 24-hour fundraising event is quickly approaching. Here are 7 reasons why you should support Care to Learn.

Remember 2008? When spray tans ran rampant?

Some people actually wore crocs, on purpose.

    This show premiered.

2008 was also the year Care to Learn was founded.

Founder, Doug Pitt (aka Fair Go Bro), heard some sobering statistics about poverty in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri. The growing trend of poverty was an unwelcome shock

Enough with the background. Let's get on to the 7 reasons why you should support Care to Learn.

    1. There are 32 Care to Learn chapters in Missouri that span the entire state.

    2. Every chapter has a feeding program and most have a weekend backpack program. (Cat not included.)

    3. 20 out of the 53 Springfield Public Schools have a free and reduced lunch rate of 70% or more. The need is there.

    4. A common need Care to Learn provides is toothbrushes. The reason? Many kids have to share with siblings.

    5. Since its founding in 2008, more than 700,000 impressions have been made through Care to Learn. Every impression represents a kid getting help.

    6. General donations go directly to the students. I'd call that a win-win.

    7. And lastly, Care to Learn exists so kids can just be kids. They shouldn't have to worry about scary adult things yet.

Tuesday, May 9th is the third annual Give Ozarks Day. Your donation to Care to Learn will make an immediate difference in the lives of area children.
