Here's How They Make Burger Commercials And I Promise It's Not What You'd Expect

    It's pretty bunbelievable!

We've all seen commercials where a burger plops down from above, landing ever so perfectly.

The process of creating such a perfect burger shot is more interesting than you might think.

First the ingredients are mapped out, then a program is used to design a rig that can make the falling visual happen.

To capture the ketchup and mustard collision, a small double catapult launches the condiments into each other, creating this explosive shot.

Then, come the other parts — buns, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, bacon, a patty — all strung to a rig that cuts the supportive bands right as the camera moves past the falling ingredients.

This is what it looks like in real time — not super epic, right?

But the final, slowed down result is pretty freakin' impressive.

Now, when you see an ad with a burger making a floppy landing you can fully appreciate the process!

You can watch the entire thing go down for yourself!
