How well do you know the Peoria PlayHouse?

The Peoria PlayHouse is located in the Glen Oak Park Pavilion building near the Peoria Zoo and Luthy Botanical Garden.

The PlayHouse opened in 2015. Join us June 11th to celebrate our second birthday with a Birthday Barnyard Bash! There is free admission to the museum and tons of farm-themed fun!

Almost two years!

Tropes and Scopes will be on June 24 and will include learning about and creating your own animations. Wire Works is on July 22 and will include sculpture making with wires. Mosaic Magic will be on August 19 and will include using glass and unexpected materials to create a masterpiece!

All of these are themes of upcoming Kids Workshops!

The Summer Maker Program is a great way to get your child interested in making! Stop by the PlayHouse to get your very own Maker Map at the front desk, and then you can get started!

While we do have a train area included in the Peoria Then and Now exhibit, we do not have an exhibit dedicated to trains.  
Everyone enjoys playing in and exploring our many other wonderful exhibits!

All Aboard! is not one of the exhibits offered at the PlayHouse!

Along with the perks above, a PlayHouse membership also includes:

\*\*\*Special member pricing on birthday parties, programs and classes, and selected events
\*\*\*Free admission to other museums participating in the worldwide ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) Travel Passport Program.

There are toys for sale in the Gift Shop, but toys in the museum must stay there. You are encouraged to splash in the water table, use a saw and drill in the Real Tools area and shoot baskets in Motion Commotion!

You cannot take home the toys!

The PlayHouse is open 362 days of the year. Tuesday mornings are for Members only, and then we close at noon.

Tuesday Afternoons

At the PlayHouse, we have programs for almost everyone! Tot Time for the little ones, Kid and Family Workshops, and Adult Maker Nights.
