    The Small Business Innovation Research program, affectionately known as America’s Seed Fund, is the nation's largest source of early stage, high risk R&D funding for small businesses. SBIR fuels thousands of innovative high-growth companies through non-dilutive funding totaling almost $2.5 billion a year.
