I Found My New Favorite Body Butter From A Brand That Was On Shark Tank

The clean ingredients literally make my skin ✨glow✨

If you're like me, you LOVE anything that makes your skin baby bottom smooth. But when it comes to beauty products (especially body butters), I think that should be a bare minimum requirement, right?

Well, I'm happy to report that I've have found *thee* body butter that not only has my skin glistening like a glazed donut in the sun, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, moisturized, AND it smells amazing, too. (check, check, and check!)

Meet 54 Thrones' African Beauty Butter ($24+ at Sephora). You may recognize the clean beauty brand from Season 13 of ABC's Shark Tank or from Oprah's 2020 Favorite Things list, but trust me, you'll want to keep this beauty butter in your beauty stash for reasons more than that.

Multi-tasking beauty products are the absolute best, and the African Beauty Butter falls under the rarely acquainted category in a very successful way. You can use it to hydrate dry hands and elbows, use it to lock in moisture after the shower, and it ~even~ works to refresh a dry scalp.

It also helps soothe irritated skin, eczema flare-ups, and psoriasis.

The rich, creamy, and suuuper thick texture comprises African butters (*authentic* Shea butter being a main ingredient in each) and botanical oils such as jojoba, avocado, and grape seed oils... just to name a few.

While some say it's a little too thick for their taste, the reasoning behind that is the authentic shea butter. But once rubbed in, it's very very creamy and smooth.

And because it's waterless, it *won't* dry out your skin and will keep you moisturized all day. This makes it especially great for applying to the scalp if you have dry and flaky hair — it'll really seal in the moisture and prevent damage. AND with the main ingredients being two different kinds of shea butter, it's great for hydrating tattoos, too.

My favorite scent has to be Egyptian Lavender + Moroccan Mint. I've been using it on my hands daily since I got the opportunity to try the brand. But when I'm feeling ~fancy~ (or am just going out for the night), I apply the Kenyan Hibiscus + Moroccan Rose all over after I shower to lock in a beautiful, floral scent.

Customers who've tried it are obsessed, too. Check out these reviews:

"Finally no more dry knuckles. I recommend this butter especially for your hands. I'm a nurse and it is the only thing that keeps my skin soft and not cracked and red. I use it throughout my day because I constantly wash my hands and it does its job. Very pleased." —Chrystal, 54 Thrones customer

"I saw this Black-owned brand on TV and decided to try it...The actual butter itself is amazing. Instant shine and moisture without feeling sticky afterwards. I also enjoyed the vanilla scent which was simple and works well with perfume."  —xRellex, Sephora customer

"Best body butter ever! I LOVE this!! I have pretty dry hands especially in the winter and in two days this butter has made my hands soo soft! It can feel a little greasy when first applied but as soon as you rub it in to your hands it disappears and your hands are silky smooth! I’ll definitely be buying more!!" —Ann821, Sephora customer

To top it all off, 54 Thrones is a Black-woman owned and operated business. Founder Christina Funke Tegbe was inspired by her Nigerian heritage to create skincare products that honored the natural resources and beauty rituals of Africa. With this in mind, 54 Thrones (and their must-try African Beauty Butter) was born.
