46 Incredibly Useful Products That Are An Absolute Touchdown

They're practically on their way to the Super Bowl...

    1. A hard-boiled egg timer if trying to figure out whether your egg is actually cooked or still runny is a risk you're not willing to take. This timer will fix all that.

Simply plop the timer in with your egg(s) and the color of the timer will change to indicate how boiled the eggs are, so you know when it's time to take 'em out.

Promising review: "Is this 100% necessary? No...however, it does make one thing a little easier for me in the morning. Instead of watching the pot and waiting for the water to boil to start the timer you can just put the NobelEgg in the pot with your eggs, start the heat, and just wait for your eggs to be done. Can't wait to give some as gifts!" —Bailey Boo

I have TONS of plastic bins and whenever I need something, I have to open each to find what I’m looking for. I took a few hours the first weekend cleaning out and organizing everything and the bins. I took pictures of the contents of each bin, put one of these stickers on each bin then associated the pics with the sticker’s QR code and voila, done. And I wash them all every time I use them to keep them clean and make sure they don't break my skin out from getting bacteria in them from the liquid products sitting in the bristles. This mat is a godsend. It is so easy to use to get even the most stubborn of foundations out of brushes to the littlest of eyeshadow out of delicate blending brushes. Now that it's spring/summer I needed to purchase a fertilizer to encourage growth. I came home one day and saw one of my bird's nest ferns was drooping and looked like it was dying. I ordered this fertilizer and watered/fed it the next day. These pictures are about 24 hours apart. The fertilizer perked the poor guy right back up!! Promising review: "Honestly, we are speechless! We are excellent about cleaning the lint trap after every load of clothes. We even clean the lint vent outside. But nothing could have prepared us for the amount of lint and gunk trapped in the vent tubing! How we have never had a fire, we have no idea. We vacuumed forever all the way up the vent tube, which we could have in no way done without this item. The suction power was unbelievable! We could not believe how bad the tubing was clogged. Just look at the picture. We removed about three-quarters of a kitchen garbage bag size of lint and gunk! It was amazing and embarrassing! It’s SO inexpensive, but it could literally save you from a house fire! Anyway, just buy it. Excellent value! You won’t be sorry!" —Brian Mattix/Elizabeth Bodnam

I was a bit worried that they might leave dark lint on lighter-colored clothing, so I used them the first time with a load of towels. I've since used them on over a dozen loads of laundry, including whites, and have had no problems with lint left on my clothes. They are of a good size, are tightly woven, and seem as if they will hold up very well over time. With my second child I purchased this before she was born and by the end of my first week breastfeeding her while using this nipple butter, I was no longer in pain even though I experienced the same cracks as I did with my son. They healed much faster. Promising review: "Best. Thing. Ever. This product works like a charm. It gets the sand from between their pads, and is gentle enough that even my most stubborn pup tolerates it! I have a terrier/schnauzer that likes to dig, a mini golden doodle that is picky about her paws, and a standard labradoodle puppy that is still very fuzzy. We have a farm where it is extremely sandy and we stay in a travel trailer. The amount of sand they were tracking in to the camper was ridiculous. It takes me three minutes to clean and dry off all of their paws now. Seriously the best purchase I have made!" —Rachel

    It requires two AA batteries.

Promising review: "Very easy to use. Many combinations of ingredients can be used. When I wake up, my first cup of coffee is black. BUT THEN I use the microwave to warm about 1/2 cup of milk in the coffee cup. Then I use the frother to create a thick foam, which I very slowly pour in the coffee close to the rim of the cup. I sprinkle the foam with sugar (of course, this is optional). This has become a morning treat. Just to show how versatile this frother is, it combines the ingredients for caesar salad dressing much better than mixing with a whisk." —Pam

curtain rings with two separate hooks to hold liner and curtain
    Amazon

Promising review: "This is one of those items you didn’t know you needed, and once you get it you can’t help but wonder how you ever managed before. I absolutely hate taking the shower curtains off because of the whole open and close for multiple shower curtains. I know you’re like, ‘It’s just shower curtain hooks.’ And it is. But when you have to change out the creepy shower liner, that likes to attack you, and you dread doing so, this just adds seconds to your life. No more unsnapping. Simply take out the liner, place the liner on the appropriate hook, and presto." —Nardsbaby

reviewer holding bottle of foot powder
reviewer image of slip on shoes with powder in the soles

Promising review: "This has restored my belief in Santa, the Easter bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and all magic again. We search and searched for a foot powder, or treatment, or even reasonably priced hazmat suits for when our teenage son took off his shoes. Nothing we tried worked apart from making him stay outside. Until we tried this powder. It’s a very mild scent when you sprinkle it in the shoe itself, instead of a heavy perfumed mask scent like all other foot powders, sprays, little scent balls etc. I honestly didn’t think there was anyway it could actually stop the hazardous stench that dwelled within our teen's footwear. It was so natural-smelling, by day two of using it in said stinky teen's boots there was nothing. It’s like this product neutralized the odor. It was sweet sweet freedom." —Kelli Gebauer

training aid being placed in dog crate
gif of dog licking peanut butter off training aid

When I first got my puppy he went ballistic any time I had to put him in his crate. I started filling this toy with peanut butter and freezing it so the next time I had to leave the house (and he sadly had to go in his crate), I'd be prepared for when it was time to place him in. This keeps them very occupied for a while and really eases them into getting familiar with their crate.

Promising review: "We bought this chew toys as an add-on with our Revol crate. It fits perfectly between the bars so that our little chewer can't pull the toy into the crate and make a mess. We use ordinary peanut butter and it keeps the little heathen entertained and not stressed when she has been crated. The clear plastic cover is super helpful for when we freeze the treat now that Ava is teething. I would highly recommend." —Michael D.

Promising review: "While hanging shelves and frames and other wall decorations shouldn't be rocket science, I make things more complicated than they should be. Leveling is where I normally falter. With the Hang-O-Matic it becomes an exact science! It's so simple to use! I've hung over 10 items on our walls this past weekend and it was a breeze with this tool. Just measure, put the tape to the wall where you want it, ensure your tape is level, and then push the marker pins in to know where you need to put in your anchors/hooks. The biggest problem is that I need more!!! I will say I have found this system is most stable when using two cups that are the same but I wanted to use it with my big cups to maximize my space. Promising review: "I've been using this for over a year now, and it just came up in conversation so it reminded me to add a review. This thing is seriously worth its weight in gold. Our tub is kind of small to begin with, and with the overflow drain I could barely get the water over halfway. For the last year my family has been able to take actual adult baths and it's been wonderful! The little suction cups snap into place easily and it comes off just as easily. It does get some water in it but it's from the faucet splashing into the opening, the water level doesn't change after the faucets are turned off. No discoloration or mildew, it still looks brand new!" —Dani

    36. A two-spray shower head if some days you want a more intense shower stream while other days a gentle sprinkle will do. Now you can have the best of both worlds.

Promising review: "I'm amazed! We live in a pre-war New York City apartment and it seemed that poor water pressure in the shower that barely extended beyond the wall was par for the course. We just installed this shower head and now the water stream extends to the other side of the tub! Looking forward to finally taking a satisfying shower after all the time." —TWNYC

    37. A shoe whitener because there's no need to throw your fave broken-in pair of kicks out just because they're discolored. This shoe whitener will have them glistening in no time. Tip: Use a shoe cleaner before the whitener for optimal results!

Promising review: "This product works miracles. As you can see, my poor Vans became dirty, so I cleaned them and made the intelligent decision to use peroxide and put them in the sun to dry. Even with the yellowing and deep stains, this product brought them back to their bright dazzling glory, and they look decently brand new. Love it!!!! Also, this is sort of like a paint rather than an actual cleaner, so always make sure you clean your shoes then apply it." —Catherine

Promising review: "I used this product for my stove because it's one thing I dislike cleaning. I have used multiple degreaser sprays and they all are so toxic and don't work for me. The Magic Eraser was okay but I used several at a time and I had to scrub so hard. But this product oh my goodness, legit a miracle. It doesn't have any type of smell. I put the paste on a cloth, clean the area then wipe it off with a damp cloth and voilà, magic!" —May

Promising review: "Here’s the thing. A scrub is never going to solve your blackhead issues long term. But there is truly no other product like this. It’s an amazing quick fix to get your pores unclogged and less noticeable, and once you’ve done that, slap on some retinol/salicylic acid with a moisturizer. Adorable packaging, unique product, and effective!" —Molly

Promising review: "These battery-operated motion lights are great. The technology has improved so much in a short amount of time. They are much brighter than I expected and illuminate just as much as an electric lamp. They are easily mounted using the 3M double sided tape. I use them to illuminate my steps, which were dark and dangerous before because I didn't want to turn on the hall light early in the morning and wake my wife. The lights always turn on meaning the motion detector is reliable, and they always turn on when needed. I bought one set and have since gone back to Amazon to purchase two more sets. My wife calls me a light nerd but she is thankful and admits she sees the light and acknowledges their usefulness. I would give more than five stars if I could." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "It seems counterintuitive to put a little packet down your garbage disposal to clean it, but this does actually seem to work, at least for getting out weird smells that baking soda and vinegar don't really touch. I scrub the sink down first, especially around the garbage disposal area, rinse it down, and then just follow the directions on the package. I have used it with single, large-size sinks, and with double sinks — the only difference is that the double sink will have blue cleaning foam rise up the drain, which you rinse away when the disposal sounds clear again. I have tried the foaming cleaner in a can, but unfortunately it stopped coming out of the can about 10% of the way through. Went back to this tried-and-true." —KS

    43. A little outlet shelf if you need a nice, convenient location to keep your bathroom must-haves like your toothbrush, razor, or shower speaker that doesn't include taking up precious vanity space.

Promising review: "Perfect little shelf for my cluttered bathroom and better priced than similar items. I use it for my electric toothbrush, which I was continually knocking onto the bathroom floor (sometimes even into the toilet!), so I then would have to stop to clean it while I'm in a hurry to get ready for work! Glad I purchased two of them. Putting the other one in my kids' bathroom." —Cindy P.

Promising review: "My dog Harvey loves his new car seat. He can easily see out the car windows and is more eye to eye with me so he's content not being in my lap. Harvey is 14 pounds so he has plenty of room. In fact I could fit two of him in the same car seat. The safety leash connected to the the car seat is just the right length so he can hang his head out the window without falling out (Harvey's favorite feature). —JOY

Promising review: "I was searching for an alarm clock to dim as the usual variety alarm clock I had was just too bright. I liked the idea of a dimmer dial rather that some other clocks advertised that just had two or three settings. Dimming has been perfect. As an added bonus the phone charging has been super convenient. It’s less sensitive to precise positioning than other chargers, doesn’t overheat, and charges pretty quickly. My only slight negative on this clock is that it comes with a flat bottom, no feet, so it can slide all over. I added four little rubber feet I had already to keep it stable and it’s worked perfectly." —ElaineW
