29 Home Products That Will Make Life Easier If You're L-A-Z-Y

Spend more time lounging and less time working.

    1. A Flush 'N Sparkle Toilet cleaning system you install in your toilet's water tank so the bowl stays just as clean as the last time you scrubbed it. These cartridges last up to three months! The bleach cleansers will make your porcelain throne sparkle and shine with each and every flush, which means less cleaning in the long run for you!

Promising review: "I have one of those water saver toilets. It was almost impossible to keep clean. While this cleaning system doesn't completely eliminate the problem, it helps a lot. Instead of needing to clean the bowl daily, I can clean it once a week. I liked it so much, I purchased one for my sister. One of the best features of this system is that it puts the cleaner directly into the water stream instead of into the tank. You don't have to worry about it attacking the metal parts of the tank. It was easy to install. It is real easy to install and replace the cleaning cartridge." —Mikkel

    2. A bottle of Goo Gone to help remove tacky adhesive that just doesn't want to take a hike. If you simply don't have the time to be wasting picking off those dreaded price stickers from your new wine glasses you bought, work smarter (not harder) and just go straight for the Goo Gone.

Promising review: "My 9-year-old daughter turned my house into a slime lab. No room was safe from her. I will not even try to explain what this small cute human did to her room. Words that could describe the damage this human did to our carpet and furniture don't exist in the vocabulary. Months of tears and weeks of angry faces because the new furniture was ruined. But then I discovered GooGone and our life took a turn. I cleaned a dry glue stain (hot glue gun) from my beloved bench. It removed dry slime from carpets. I suggest you buy at least three bottles, because when you start cleaning your house with it you won't be able to stop until you removed all glue stains your kids have made the last five years." —MasonK84

    3. A Glisten garbage disposal cleaner for keeping your food scrap dumping station crystal clean and free of gunk. Tell me what's easier than just popping one of these pouches down the drain and letting it do the work for you? I'll tell ya — nothing.

using garbage disposal cleaner in sink
    Amazon

Promising review: "Holy cow I didn't realize how easy and quick it was to clean a garbage disposal until I bought this product! Typically, in my naïve thinking, I'd just use vinegar and baking soda down the drain and call it good. Little did I know that there was an actual cleaning product available until I stumbled across it through a Buzzfeed article. It literally takes five minutes and some hot water and VOILÀ! You have a clean, no-longer-stinky garbage disposal. Let me say that anytime I got a whiff of an odor, all I did was drop one of those packs in the disposal and the smell was GONE! Worth every penny!" —VadersGirl

    4. A scrap collector that attaches at the edge of your counter so you can effortlessly swipe scraps into this handy waste bin (instead of struggling over to the trash).

person swipes food scraps into bin
    Amazon

Promising review: "So useful! I use mine more as a small trash collector. I have mine next to the stove for eggshells and anything else I may want to toss quickly. Also, I line it with a plastic produce bag so that it doesn't get grimy and dirty. Not only this, but using this as a small trash can, I end up using my large kitchen trash bag as a bin for my smaller produce-bag-wrapped trash bags (and/or trash items that don't have a smell). This means my large trash can usually doesn't smell bad, since it's only ever full of smaller wrapped trash bags. Maybe it seems a little strange, but for someone who usually only cooks for one, I don't like my large trashcan to be partially full and already smell like it needs to be taken out." —Shaz

    5. A Prosenic T21 Air Fryer so you can stop fussing over cooking your meals on the stove or in the oven, or dealing with a hot and heavy pan of frying oil. My fave things to cook in it are chicken for my salads and roasted Brussels sprouts! Just throw you food in, set it to the proper temp and time, and let it work its magic and you get to do ~nothing~. (Bliss)

reviewer using air fryer to heat up pizza

I have this air fryer and boy is it a necessity in my kitchen. It's the quickest and best way for me to cook protein for salads or for a simple dinner dish. I simply season my chicken and pop it in the air fryer and it cooks it to perfection. It doesn't dry out the meat at all and keeps it juicy and tender for one heck of a salad. It's v easy to use and the chamber for the food is quite large!

Promising review: "I cannot say enough good things about this air fryer! This is my first one and I am so happy that I went with this brand! It is very easy to set up and use. The basket is so easy to clean I don’t know how I lived my life without one for so long! I have cooked everything in here from potstickers to hash browns to chicken wings to steaks! Everything has turned out absolutely phenomenal and I will never go back to old fashion frying my food." —Jordan House

    6. An under the cabinet jar opener if you'd prefer to stop struggling to get the pasta sauce open. This is great if you live alone and can't bother anyone to help you open jars (ahem, me).

Promising review: "For some reason, I just cannot open the Fosters Pickled Asparagus jars. I’ve broken jars using a vise or tapping the lid. My last jar has sat in the fridge for weeks until I happened to see a picture from another reviewer that had the same problem with this same jar. So I ordered it. It took less than a minute to stick it with the attached adhesive strip to the location I wanted and screwed in the three screws with my cordless drill. The screws were perfect sizes so as not to go all the way through the wood into the cabinet. I grabbed the jar and pushed it gently into the V 'till the teeth touched the metal lid and it twisted right off with minimal effort. All those years of fighting with these jars are over. In my mind, the cost of this little ingenious piece of plastic with a row of metal teeth is worth every penny to alleviate years of frustration and broken jars." —Bobby

    8. A Wet & Forget shower cleaner to tackle the gunk and stains that have been overstaying their welcome in your tub or shower. Spray it on, let it sit for a few hours (some reviewers left it on for 24 hours) and then rinse or wipe it clean!

Promising review: "I have been having shower draining issues so there was a build up of soap scum in my shower. I have a very weak stomach and cleaning the shower makes me physically ill. I have tried several products that have claimed to be no scrub/wipe but this has been the only one that has worked. I sprayed it after my shower and left it to sit until the next night. Found that A LOT of the grime had disappeared. Now, was it perfect? No. But I think with consistent use it will get there. Highly recommend this product." —KZ

Instant Pot is used to make a soup dish
    Amazon

This handy kitchen gadget has seven functions: rice cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, sauté, yogurt maker, and warmer! Check out our Instant Pot review!

Promising review: "This is quite possibly the coolest, most versatile kitchen gadget I’ve ever owned. I love it so much that I’ve purchased two more for friends and relatives. What can it do? I think the real question is 'What can’t it do?' I truly believe you could replace every cooking appliance (including your oven and stove top) and do EVERYTHING in the Instant Pot. I purchased two sizes for my own use: the three-quart (which is my almost-every-day workhorse for two person dishes) and the eight-quart (which I bring out to handle my dinner party dishes). Everything I’ve tried has been fabulous. In the realm of kitchen appliances, there is no better investment than the Instant Pot. Highly recommended!!!" —Stereoman

reviewer using veggichop to chop onions

Chop an array of veggies not JUST onions!

Promising review: "This chopper is amazing!! I love cooking but used to absolutely HATE chopping onions...until someone gave me this chopper! Now I simply have to quarter the onion, throw it in the chopper, pull the handle about 10–15 times, and they're ready to be used! No more teary eyes or spending a long time chopping onions. The cup is big enough to fit a whole onion. I think the capacity is 3 cups. There are tons of other uses to this as well: you can chop pretty much anything from herbs, veggies and fruits, to making salsa and guacamole." —Valjulia

Get it from Amazon for $16.82+ (available in three colors).

    14. A Petmate pooper scooper for keeping your yard tidy from your pup's little brown presents all over the grass. I keep one of these in my backyard and it's a miracle-worker that helps you avoid crouching over their gross poop.

Pet owner uses pooper scooper in yard
    Amazon

Promising review: "I used to buy Dogipot waste bags. That can get expensive when you have three large dogs like I do. I scoop as much poop as I can until the swivel bin is about half full, dump it into a trash bag, and continue until the back yard/front yard is spotless and clean. The rake is fabulous for collecting poop when my dogs choose to go in the rocks we have surrounding the pool or the palm trees. Fabulous product and well worth the money." —Natalie Smith

Get it from Amazon for $14.83.

    15. And for cats — a Litter Robot so you can forgo changing the litterbox just a wee bit longer. This litter box makes it easy for you to simply throw away the collected bag of waste and just pop in a new liner.

    A gift of a Litter Robot mid-cycle

    Litter Robot

My co-worker Jenae Sitzes says she so happy to have this litter box,

"When my mom first told me about this $500 automatic litter box she'd read about somewhere, my eyes just about popped out of my head thinking about spending that much on a thing that my cats poop in. But after thinking about it some more, I realized it's actually a pretty reasonable investment since I plan on owning cats forever but shamefully hate cleaning out their litter boxes as often as they really should be.

I've been using the Litter Robot myself for three months now, and I'm pretty sure both me and my two cats are way happier for it. After a cat is done using it, the Litter Robot waits a set amount of time until the cat's presence is no longer detected, then begins to rotate, collecting the waste into a bag at the bottom while retaining the clean litter in the barrel. I usually don't detect a smell from it afterward, though once the bag starts to get really full, you might get a subtle reminder that you need to take it out. I only have to take out that bag about once a week, and a flashing light will let you know when it's full.

Initially, the cats were a little spooked by the sound of the Litter Robot during a cycle, and for the first few weeks, they would just sit and stare at it, as if it would get up and run at them if they took their eyes off it. At this point, though, they've completely adjusted and accepted it as their way of life, making my life a heck of a lot easier while ensuring they always have a clean bed of litter. It's a pricey purchase, to be sure, but if cleaning out the litter box daily or even every other day is hard for you and you'd rather not think about it much at all, I say the Litter Robot is worth it. One thing to note: It's quite large, so make sure you have a dedicated space for it."

Get it from Litter Robot for $549 (available in white or gray).

    16. Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pads that work on tough, hard-to-remove surface stains like wine, pet pee, mud, blood, and juice. Simply place the pad on the affected area, stomp on the pad, and then leave it be for 30 minutes. Once you peel it off the floor, your stain will have magically lifted — hallelujah!

reviewer image of pads after cleaning floors
model using stomp pad on carpet

Promising review: "OMG I am SO HAPPY that they are making these again. They are the absolute best. Nothing comes close! I even called and wrote to Bissell twice when they discontinued this item asking them to bring it back. Then I bought all I could from Amazon and on eBay. Now they are back! I have an older dog who sometimes has accidents and NOTHING works as well and as easily as these. Some people say they are small but I say they are perfect! In fact, because they are relatively expensive, I cut these into small pieces and use just what I need. If you rub the pad into the carpet it will completely remove the stain. Stomp on it and leave it there. The stain will be gone. I seal the bag with a bulldog clip to keep the remaining pads moist." —kscoco

Promising review: "I've been in the market for a robovac for quite some time, and, after a recent back surgery, vacuuming manually wasn't easy. I purchased this vacuum and have been very pleased with it. Its slim design gets under the dressers, beds, other furniture, and all the tight spaces that I couldn't get to with an upright vacuum cleaner. This makes a very low sound while in use, and honestly, I don't even realize it's operating, as the sound is pleasant (not loud at all)." —Teach3

Reaches under, behind and around all the tight spaces I can't get to without moving heavy furniture around. The duster is also very lightweight and can handle delicate situations." —Sjay

reviewer uses air pressure bottle opener to open wine
    air pressure wine opener set

Set comes with the wine opener and a foil cutter.

Promising review: "Way easier than struggling trying to pry a cork out with a traditional cork screw. Just insert the needle straight into the cork and pump a few times with your hand over the apparatus until the cork starts to work out, then another pump or two, and pop, the cork is in your hand. The little thing for cutting the top of the foil off the bottle is very slick too. This is the easiest way to open wine I have ever seen, short of having the waiter do it." —Finestkind

    22. A rechargeable candle lighter because fussing with matches can be a dangerous game. Ever light a candle with a match and see your life flash before your eyes? Yeah, same. This rechargeable lighter is flexible and can help you enjoy your candles safely.

Promising review: "I love this little gadget. I’m so tired of wasting my money on throw away things like lighters and I wanted a more sustainable product to reduce the waste I produce. I don’t know how hot this gets, I’m not going to touch the little spark it produces but it lights my candles and fires without me having to get too close to the flame and burn myself. The charge lasts pretty long and it charges really fast. The blue lights indicate how much charge is remaining making it easy to tell if it needs a charge or not. Portable and the flexible tip makes it easy to get into some of those bigger candles that you can’t reach." —Sara Ursitti

Promising review: "Saw this on TikTok. Had to try it. LOVE IT. So fast and easy. Washes easily and we just lay it out to dry. But we have also put it in the dishwasher too. Saves us so much time and no more almost slicing fingers cutting tiny tomatoes. Wish I’d had this when the kids were tiny and I needed to cut their grapes. Would’ve saved me time." —Mermaid

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to not have to worry about it! I feel like they work quite a bit longer than advertised but that may depend on water temp, if the water is distilled (this is what we use, as our water is REALLY hard otherwise) versus filtered versus not, etc. Will definitely buy again!" —CindyR

    29. A corn stripper in case you're like me and prefer your corn off the cob and cutting it off with a knife is asking for trouble. Promising review: "I bought this to help me prepare corn for freezing and canning. I honestly wasn't expecting it to work as well as it actually did (LOL my track record with kitchen gizmos isn't the best). First, it's very easy to grip (and I have bad carpal tunnel so this can be an issue for me), and the way it's designed makes it very safe to use, there's no chance of fingers near the cutting blade. I used it initially on a dozen ears of farm stand sweet corn. I blanched the ears for four minutes then put them in an ice water bath. From there, I put them through this corn stripper. It took very little effort on my part, and the cobs were really well cleaned off. I did do a little knife scraping on the smaller tapered ends of the ears, but only there — it cleanly took off all the rest. It took me longer to blanch two batches of ears than it did to strip off all the corn, this made such quick work of the job. This first batch I'm intending to freeze, but I'm planning on canning a huge batch very soon and this fantastic little gizmo is going to shave off hours of work (pun completely intended!). I'm a VERY happy purchaser!" —Cynthia J.

Promising review: "I'm doing home remodeling and need to take a lot of measurements. This feels a *lot* more accurate than my current tape because I'm not having to squint or crane my head around things to take a reading, bold and clear display with feet, inches, fractions. Instant conversion between units is handy. I like the centering function too — one button gives you the 'half' distance of the measurement — very useful feature for picture hanging. Every home contractor I've had over that sees this in action wants one like it." —Mark Terrano
