One Photographer's Colorful Close-Up Shots Of Harvest Mice Are Beautiful

    Ready for my close-up.

Mice are funny little creatures. You either hate ‘em or love ‘em.

Miles Herbert has been a photographer for about 25 years.

He tells BuzzFeed the response to his work has been overwhelming.

Miles said that whenever he works with animals, he makes sure the animals are never forced to do anything.

Miles also tells BuzzFeed the mice like to climb inside tulips (and other flowers, too) to eat the stamens and pollen that’s inside.

The one practically looks like a poster for Fall, amirite?

And this cutie appears to be pulling off a serious balancing act.

And how about this mice squad perched on a branch?

And this guy looks like he's straight-up posing for the camera.

    Peek-a-boo!

I mean, you couldn't pose this if you tried.

    "I'm ready for my close-up."

Miles said the mice sometimes fall asleep inside the flowers after eating their fill. Awww!

He told BuzzFeed, “We just let them do what they want to do and photograph them as they do it.”
