You always wanted to know which of the Rowan beasts is the perfect summation of your personality. I don't know how to edit this and now I notice spelling mistakes and the fact that you can't "look" genderfluid. I know it's tedious to read all the answers but please do. WOW! You are larger than life…..seriously, you are twice the size of the typical golden retriever. You are the first non human animal Alex encountered, and you certainly made an impact. Your legacy shall be known forever! Also, one time you ate a water meter. The hydro worker was amazed.

Remy

: ASTOUNDING! You are Alex’s dog brother Angus. You are strong and kind and love adventure. You are very loyal, but do like to wander off on your own from time to time. One Christmas you followed the neighbours to a bar and got drunk. One of your bar friends had to call the Rowan family at 4pm to haul your drunk self home. You are quiet and gentle until someone you love is threatened. Your Bork is booming and majestic.

Angus

Oh you sweet gorgeous angel, what a gift you are to the world! You were a gift for Alex’s 13th birthday and were adored by many. Your loyalty is like none other…..you are a pillar of strength when your loved ones are suffering. You are beautiful and affectionate and beloved

Mocha

You are a little on the shy side and mostly keep to yourself. You will hide in the tea cabinet when the house is too full of rowdy humans or dogs. You love quiet walks outdoors and dislike people telling you where to go or what to do. You are also the OG Rowan family pet, which is pretty special.

Oh you sweet little thing, you’re one of the mousies! They were adopted by Alex after they were set loose at a local high school as a prank. You enjoy a quiet, cozy life with 1-2 besties…..until you are murdered by Phoebe the cat. Still, you had a very average lifespan….for your species.

Cynthia, Theresa and Arietty

Elegant and regal, you have an appreciation for comfort and luxury like no other! Found lounging by the fireplace in the winter and by the screen window in the spring, you live your life on your terms. You are a loving, social creature that stays close to home.

Phoebe

Oh, you poor beautiful fishy. You were a favour at a Birthday party (much to Alex’s parents chagrin). We don’t know much about you except that you crave warm, peaceful waters…..and 9 year old Alex didn’t think of that when sticking you in a bowl. You lasted less than 24 hours in Alex’s care. That's why your photo is a stock image.

Jinx

You are stunning in glittering orange. You mostly just watch the world go by from the comfort of your bowl. I’m so sorry I insisted on bringing you to my family’s cabin by the lake where you couldn’t handle the change in water quality. I wrote a poem to you that ended with this:

"then the water was too lakey, and that's what killed Shakey"

HISS! You are Helga the Hedgehog. You were afraid of everything and everyone, and wanted none of this human interaction nonsense. Unfortunately, you’re adorable and everyone wants to be around you. You are defensive and don’t let anyone see you vulnerable. You would happily spend all day (or rather, all night) running on the wheel or hiding in your little house.

Ahh, so cute but fierce! It didn’t matter that you are a typical prey animal, it was you that chased the cat. You would announce your presence with a loud THUMP and wanted nothing to do with this cuddling nonsense. You were adorable and taken too soon

Nona

Kind, calm and collected. You like to sleep, play and eat.....but you really love sexual intercourse.
