“It’s a body. Once you see it you realize it’s whatever.”

The former Grey's Anatomy actor bares it all in a full-frontal nudity scene for the current Broadway production of Take Me Out, and it's creating a quite a stir.

While discussing the role, Jesse admits he knew it was a daring move for his first Broadway appearance — but it's prepared him for anything now, too.

"I'm told it's quite insane, but it's a first so I have nothing to compare it to and I won't be scared of anything after this, that's for sure," Jesse said on Watch What Happens Live!

Even the thought of friends and family seeing him in the nude doesn't faze him — although he's learned he doesn't want to know who's in the audience ahead of time.

And when his former Grey's costars, Ellen Pompeo and Debbie Allen, stopped by the show, he says he "wasn’t nervous for them to see" his performance.

"Everybody makes such a big deal," Jesse shared, adding, "It’s a body. Once you see it you realize it’s whatever. I just have to make it not that big of a deal."

As for the rest of the audience that he doesn't personally know, Jesse says it's interesting to see their reaction from performance to performance, but he tries not to read into it.

"A non-reaction is a really interesting reaction. The quiet, you know. Creates a lot of insecurity," Jesse explained.

While Jesse says he "doesn't like any of it" when it comes to audience reactions, he's learned to not "read into it because it just creates more insecurity."

Jesse will be appearing in Take Me Out on Broadway through June 11. In the meantime, watch the whole WWHL! interview below:
