How To Streetlight

Welcome Emily and Matthew!!! Congrats on making it past the interview process and joining the Streetlight fam! We are so excited to meet you TODAY, this Thursday (9/22/16). Before we meet though, we wanted to give you some important information and advice. Enjoy :D

First off, we should introduce ourselves...

Our names are Anthony Campanella and Alex Viso and we are your shift captains!

We and our fellow team members are HELLA excited to meet you

But before you begin your SL journey, we wanted to give you some information so you don't show up like this

Where we meet

We will be meeting at 3pm in the Neonatal Unit (yassss babies) near the Streetlight Office. This is where you had your interview.

Remember that Attendance Policy

We want ^this to be you

No more than two absences, coming in late and leaving early = half an absence

Again, for emphasis: please show up on time :3

Please make sure you arrive on time to shift and sign in beforehand. It's really embarrassing if we show up late or don't sign in at volunteer services. So don't be that person.

We will have to mark you late, and we don't want to do that :(

Get ready to walk the hallway

Closed toe shoes + khakis + SL shift + name badge = Tyra approved

HIPAA

Remember to complete/update your training, which includes: HIPAA & Privacy -General Awareness and UF Health Volunteer Orientation

Take a shot for the team

Get your flu shot. It's due by the end of September.

Please don't come in if you are sick

If you are deathly ill, don't come to shift. Just text Em and one of us to tell us what's going on. We don't want you spreading all your germs.

Sometimes visits will make you feel like this:

BUT THAT'S OKAY... not every visit will feel life altering. Know that it might start off like this, but it will become easier over time. Trust the process
