It's such an easy way to get to know your body!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. No matter your gender, doing a self-exam at home is a great way to make sure your breasts are fine and dandy!

Here's a video showing you how to give yourself a breast exam at home:

To start us off, lie on your back and raise your right arm above your head. Then, use the second, third, and fourth fingers of your left hand to begin the exam.

Think of the breast in quadrants. Examine each quadrant thoroughly by pressing firmly and dragging your fingers across the tissue. You can also move in a circular motion if it is easier, but make sure you are pressing firmly to feel for any abnormalities.

Once you have examined each quadrant, dig deeply into your armpit to check for any lymph node abnormalities. Normal lymph nodes should feel like little peas. How cute!

Lastly, give the nipple a gentle squeeze to check for abnormal discharge. Then you're all good to go!

Repeat at the same time each month so you know what is normal for you. If you menstruate, day four or five of your cycle is a good time to check.

Be sure to see your doctor regularly to keep your boobs happy!
