The diver repeatedly pushes the fish back as they work before eventually feeding his persistent friend.

And for anyone who feels like they may have seen this diver or fish before, it's because you likely have! The pair made headlines in 2017 when diver Hiroyuki Arakawa shared that he first encountered the kobudai at the gate of Hasama Underwater Park's Shinto shrine, where he serves as a caretaker.
The fish appeared to be sick and tired, so Arakawa cared for her until she was better and provided a fresh supply of crabs. The two have now been been friends for nearly 30 years.
