Lord Forgive Me, But The Wiggles Have A Hot New Member Who's Covered In Tattoos, And People Can't Stop Thirsting

The Wiggles weren't wigglin' like this when I was younger.

If you grew up in the '90s, then you're probably at least vaguely familiar with the Wiggles. The band was a group of 30-to-50-year-old men who dressed in monochrome outfits and sang catchy children's songs on Disney Channel.

They went on tours. They dropped albums. They filled concert venues with screaming children who rocked out to songs with titles like "Fruit Salad." The Australian group was basically every parent's annoyance and every child's fave musical crew.

Well, what you may not know — which I also didn't know until I went on a wild deep dive into the Wiggle-pedia for this article — is that the group as we knew it officially said farewell in 2012, and a new iteration began touring in 2013.

There's a lot of Wiggle history between then and now, but arguably the most important shift came in 2021 when founding band member Anthony Field shared how important it was that the Wiggles continue to "evolve" with children and society. “The Wiggles were created during a time when early childhood educational concepts were the focus,” he said in a statement. “As society has evolved, we have embraced the need for diversity and inclusiveness and want children all over the world to see themselves reflected on the screen."

And thus, the Wiggles gained four new members: Evie Ferris, Tsehay Hawkins, Kelly Hamilton, and John Pearce.

And while the other newbies are obviously each iconic in their own right, people can't help but look twice at the new purple Wiggle.

    Internet, this is John.

On my new favorite kids program.

As you can imagine, his comment section is GOLD. Moms are questioning whether they can force their now-grown children to revisit the Wiggles for the sake of the "music."

One person said, "Ok my sons are 22, 26 & 28...do you think they want Wiggles Concert Tickets for Christmas???"

Some have admitted to finding a new appreciation for children's programming.

One person commented, "I don't have little kids anymore but suddenly I'm a Wiggles fan" while another said, "THE MOMS THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORK NOW [laughing, crying emoji]

Others are tempted to have kids, just so they won't look weird as the only single adult at a Wiggles concert.

"Literally having a kid to watch wiggles now"

And the band's hit song "Fruit Salad" just hits different now, in a Harry Styles meets "Watermelon Sugar" kinda way.

One commenter said, "I suddenly forgot how to make fruit salad" while another said "Not me almost 29 about to start watching this show again"

I'm not bold enough to comment, but can I add "Big Wiggle Energy" to the mix?

That's all. I hope this information brings some light to the end of your week!
