The corporation is not the only corporation making $3 million, nor is this the only year it will be making $3 million.

The corporation will only make $3 million this year.

The tornado did not merely destroy the buildings, but probably did much more (uproot trees and so on). It also isn't the only tornado (there could be 5 more, who knows!). It did, however, not destroy any other buildings than just the 3 empty ones.

Only three empty buildings

The tornado only damaged three empty buildings.

Getting the hang of it? It depends on the hotel prices in San Fran.

Only if

The meeting will only be held in San Francisco if the committee can find a hotel there with affordable rates.

It might not only be on the market, and it needs more than a finger prick to work (it needs an operating system).
