Maria Bamford is a beloved comedian, and she's about to be a beloved comedian with a Netflix show. Which means that if you don't already know her name, you probably should to ~stay with the times~.
Lady Dynamite premieres May 20, and so far it's been called "wonderfully weird" (by The A.V. Club), and "one of the most flat-out original new shows on TV" (by Slate).
The series is semi-autobiographical, following a woman played by Bamford on a surreal journey of self-discovery. It's executive produced by Pam Brady and Arrested Development's Mitch Hurwitz, and you can see the trailer here:
