I put these cheap products to the test FOR you!
If (like me) you've got long, fine, or unruly hair, it can be really hard to find a product that makes your tresses look truly smooth – so you can imagine how happy I was to find my ride-or-die solution for one Great British pound. Simply spray it onto your ends before heat-styling your hair for a glossy, smooth, and frizz-free finish!
Price: £1.00.
Leave this foaming spray on any affected areas for up to half an hour and then wipe it away to reveal a mildew-free surface underneath. I didn't need to scrub or even wipe too hard when removing the product – it came off (along with the mould) in a couple of easy swipes!
Ptice: £5.00.
Our loo had some serious limescale buildup in its base that no amount of bleach or scrubbing could get rid of, and it was getting pretty disgusting. I eventually found out about pumice cleaning blocks online and nabbed this inexpensive one after reading its rave reviews! Just wet the stone, rub it over your grossest surfaces, and then rinse or wipe the dirt away – it's really easy to use, and it'll work on your ovens and barbecues too.
Price: £2.40.
You know those cups you've abandoned in the back of the cupboard because their stains are so bad? Yeah, I had one of those and was about to throw it out before trying this powder as a last resort. I was amazed by the results – the product wears away the stains and marks from buildup without damaging the mug's surface underneath, and it doesn't leave a bad taste or odour behind either!
Price: £5.48.
Mineral deposits will collect in between its mesh wires rather than building up in your kettle. I can remove and rinse it quickly and easily whenever I need to, which is much easier than cleaning built-up limescale from my most-used kitchen appliance!
Price: £2.29.
Spray some of its enzyme-packed formula onto any affected surfaces and a thick foam will come out, which then works its limescale-destroying magic for five minutes at most. I was amazed by how quickly and effectively this stuff got to work!
Price: £3.00.
I'd nearly given up on this (frankly gross) baking tray and decided as a last resort to give this cleaning powder a go.. It was easy to use – I just placed it into the tin and scrubbed until the stains had gone before rinsing the grime away!
Price: £2.50.
Peel the back off of these adhesive strips, apply them to your wall, and attach the frame or fabric to get that task ticked off of your to-do list! I was impressed by how much weight these bad boys can bear – a pair of these hooks will hold up to 5.4kg.
Price: £3.00 for four pairs.
Run its nib along any discoloured grouting for an instant colour refresh! The formula is antifungal, helping to prevent the new coating from getting covered in mould.
Price: £4.22.
It's made up of gritty cleaning beads suspended in a gel, so it grinds away at tough stains without scratching up whatever's underneath. It's suitable for use on most hard surfaces (think ceramic tiles, barbecues, pots and pans, and more!)
Price: £3.26.
They're packed full of enzymes that break down the gunk and grease in your drains as they dissolve. All you'll have to do is put 'em in and leave them to get to work!
Price: £5.00 for 12.
Its dense brush distributes the inky black formula over every single one of my lashes, including the tiny ones at the edge. This mascara will last for up to 24 hours!
Price: £3.98.
I gifted this to my work pal Mariah, who said (and I quote) 'It's really fluffy, and it has no right to look as cute as it does TBH.'
Price: £4.36 for a 20cm cushion.
I applied one of these on top of my spot and overnight it began drawing the excess moisture and gunk out from my skin, helping to dry out (and eventually eradicate) the zit.
Price: £5.99 for 24 patches.
It contains exfoliating beads to help decongest your pores, and its cleansing formula won't dry out your face! I've found that this product has helped to clear up my skin, and it feels really refreshing to use.
Price: £4.35.
