These banished my scepticism in seconds.
I love how broad these headbands are, and their elastic bands are incredibly soft too!
Price: £2.99 for four.
Simply run it over your clothes and it'll pick up and remove bobbles as it goes along the fabric. I've used this on my most delicate clothes without any damage – it's completely reusable!
Price: £2.50.
If you've got a lot of hair, you'll understand how hard it can be to work shampoo right into your scalp. This inexpensive brush solved that problem for me — its flexible bristles reach all the way down to my roots, and their massaging effect is really relaxing! I also find that I get much more volume after using this (and despite my initial concerns, it doesn't tangle my tresses at all).
Price: £3.50.
The product inside was powerful enough to remove oil from plastics and metals without any scrubbing on my behalf. Spray the formula onto the affected surface, let it sit for a couple of minutes, wipe it away, and you're done!
Price: £1.00.
Leave this foaming spray on any affected areas for up to half an hour and then wipe it away to reveal a mildew-free surface underneath. I didn't need to scrub or even wipe too hard when removing the product – it came off (along with the mould) in a couple of easy swipes!
Price: £5.00.
Our loo had some serious limescale buildup in its base that no amount of bleach or scrubbing could get rid of, and it was getting pretty disgusting. I eventually found out about pumice cleaning blocks online and nabbed this one after reading its rave reviews! Just wet the stone, rub it over your grossest surfaces, and then rinse or wipe the dirt away – it's really easy to use, and it'll work on your ovens and barbecues too.
Price: £2.40.
After multiple failed attempts to thread my brows and upper lip (yup) at home, I finally gave up and tried these highly-rated razors instead. I was seriously impressed by the results – they were really precise, and they made my skin smoother too!
Price: £2.99 for six.
Mineral deposits collect in between its mesh wires rather than building up in my kettle. I can remove and rinse it quickly and easily whenever I need to, which is much easier than cleaning built-up limescale from my most-used kitchen appliance!
Price: £1.94.
I sprayed some of its enzyme-packed formula onto any affected surfaces and a thick foam came out, which then worked its limescale-destroying magic in under five minutes.
Price: £3.00.
I'd nearly given up on this (frankly gross) baking tray and decided as a last resort to give this cleaning powder a go. It was easy to use – I placed it into the tin and scrubbed until the stains had gone before rinsing the grime away!
Price: £4.00.
I peeled its backing off, applied it to my face, and then left it there for 15 minutes. Its soothing formula was incredibly calming, and it made my skin feel soft and bouncy!
Price: £1.95.
I popped one of these on top of my spot and overnight it began drawing the excess moisture and gunk out from my skin, helping to dehydrate (and eventually eradicate) the zit.
Price: £5.99 for 24 patches.
The salicylic acid in this soap decongests my pores, while the sulphur removes any bacteria in my skin and absorbs excess oil. The bar is studded with exfoliating almond and walnut shell particles, and it also contains replenishing vitamin E. No wonder my skin has cleared up significantly since I started using this bad boy!
Price: £5.89.
Nail polish barely used to last me a day, partly because when I saw a loose bit of varnish I couldn't resist picking it off (I know, I know). This topcoat's finish is too hard to be picked at, though – I feel like I'm wearing gels! It bonded my varnish to the nail beds underneath, so my manicure has stayed put for weeks.
Price: £7.09.
I gave this to my friend for her birthday, because she loves makeup but hates having to deal with loads of different palettes for her various ~lewks~. The shades are really highly-pigmented and go on easily and smoothly!
Price: £9.99.
You know those cups you've abandoned in the back of the cupboard because their stains are so bad? Yeah, I had one of those and was about to throw it out before trying this powder as a last resort. I was amazed by the results – the product wears away the stains and marks from buildup without damaging the mug's surface underneath, and it doesn't leave a bad taste or odour behind either!
Price: £4.40.
I've mentioned before that I live with other people, and as it happens we all like to cook! That means the sink is always at risk of blockage from food scraps, so I thought I'd prevent any issues before they start by nabbing these inexpensive strainers. Not only have I been amazed by how much debris they've kept out of my drains (was all that really doing down my plugholes before?!), but I also love how easy they are to remove and empty too — food doesn't get caught in between their slots, and their plastic material is easy to wipe clean.
Price: £1.59 for two.
This stuff has sped up my manicures significantly, and I find that it makes 'em last longer too!
Price: £5.48.
I have really weak, brittle nails, so this stuff has truly been a life hack for me. It makes my talons feel thicker and look shinier, and I've gotten much less flaking and breakage since I started wearing it!
Price: £5.18.
It has beads inside the handle to filter and descale the water before it comes out of the head, so it's perfect if you're living in a hard water area. It has three powerful settings (massage, rainfall, and combination) that you can toggle between by clicking the handy button on its side! I couldn't get over how easy it was to install, and I *still* feel like I'm in someone else's much fancier bathroom whenever I use it.
Price: £8.89 for a shower head and a 2m-long hose.
It's really powerful, and it fits into my cutlery drawer without taking up too much space!
Price: £3.49.
NGL, I was a bit sceptical about this toothpaste because I'd been let down by so many whitening products before. A couple of weeks in, though, I've been proven completely wrong! It'll polish and clean your teeth at the same time, and it's designed to strengthen your enamel too.
Price: £3.48.
The handy brush on this carpet cleaner works its fast-acting product onto your soft furnishings, so you won't risk getting any chemicals on your hands. I've used this stuff myself and love how effective it is!
Price: £3.50.
