Here's What We Know About "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" Season Three

Before Season Three premieres on December 6th, let's talk about what we know about the Emmy-Award winning television series.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is the television series that has swept the nation. Premiering in late 2017, the Amazon Prime show has been able to charm audiences with multiple Golden Globe Awards and Emmy Awards (including the eight won at this year's ceremony).

But what exactly do we know about the series' upcoming third season? Here's a recap for those who were wondering:

The third season will premiere in December 2019.

In August, TVLine announced that the series’ third season will be premiering on Amazon Prime on December 6, 2019. It makes sense about the show’s timing, as the first and second seasons premiered in November 2017 and December 2018 respectively. The new season will be eight episodes, mirroring the format from its original premiere.

When asked about the length of filming, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told TVLine that “Amazon has given us some flexibility so we can see what stories we have,” along with hoping “to see what we can produce without killing everybody.”

Major stars will be guest-starring throughout the season.

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” has made fans of many A-List celebrities, and some of them are jumping the gun and will be making cameos on the upcoming season. Actor Sterling K. Brown announced that he will be featured in a three-epsiode arc, while royalty will make an appearance with “Princess Bride” actor Cary Elwes and actress Jazmin Grace Grimaldi - aka Grace Kelly’s granddaughter.

It is undisclosed as to exactly what the actors will be doing on the series, but it’s sure going to make us plotz while streaming on our couches with a bottle of wine.

Part of the season will take place in Miami.

At the end of the second season, the audience sees Midge accept an offer to go on tour. One of the locations has to be Miami, since Amazon announced that the series would be spending a few weeks filming on location.

“I think I’ve heard that we’re going to Miami in June,” actor Tony Shalhoub (one-half of Midge’s parents) told Entertainment Tonight in February about any inside secrets about the series. “I don’t know what that [entails]. It’s about [Midge’s] tour, but that’s all I got.”
