I assume you're familiar with Pop-Tarts. They're a kind of pastry sandwich filled with a sweet flavour like chocolate or apple, and you can put them in the toaster.

Not sure Mary Berry would approve but, hey, they have fans.

Well, on Friday evening the US Pop-Tarts Twitter account put out this tweet: "I like my tarts where I like my money. Right in my fanny."
I like my tarts where I like my money. Right in my fanny
Now, we can only assume that the company was referring to a "fanny pack" (British translation: bum bag), but the word "fanny" has an entirely different meaning in a British context.

When British people talk about "fanny", we're not talking about your bum (American translation: butt) we're typically referring to...the vagina. Fanny is vagina. Vagina is fanny.

So it's important to note that Pop-Tarts and vaginas have no business being combined — unless you're into that kind of thing, of course. And who are we to judge?
@tkfc @PopTartsUS idk wtf you think we're doing over here but we are def not inserting poptarts into our vaginas
Naturally, British Twitter is mortified.
@PopTartsUS British people reading this:

@PopTartsUS Um, guys? This tweet does NOT work in Britain. Just FYI....😬

@PopTartsUS If one thing can bring Britain back together, it's our shock at this.

So, to recap: This is a bum bag. We're calling this a bum bag. Let's universally get on the same page and all call it a bum bag, and we can avoid instances like this.
