2023's Most Nostalgic Comeback Tours Will Have You Feeling Like It's 1999 Again

In 2023 we saw Y2K come back in fashion, tech and, most importantly music! We all had the opportunity to relive our childhood as our favourite musicians reunited to give us one more tour of the good old days. So here are the top 10 most nostalgic tours according to viagogo that happened in 2023 in the UK:

10. Sugababes

Sugababes debuted in 1998 and went through many iterations over their 12-year career, but in 2023 they announced a comeback tour with the original members Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan. It was a relatively small relaunch but we're excited to hear their new releases that will come in 2024

9. N-dubz

"Na Na Naiiii". After an 11-year hiatus, N-dubz announced a comeback tour in 2022 and the UK dusted off their woolly chullos hats, warmed up those wrists, and reordered juicy couture to get ready for the time of their lives. The tour was an immediate hit with tickets selling out in a day, they had to add extra dates. If you missed out on this tour I feel sorry for you but the band did announce they're working on new music, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long for another performance.

8. Leona Lewis

Despite only announcing a Christmas arena tour, Leona Lewis managed to be number eight on the list which is a testament to how much she's had the UK in a chokehold since winning X factor in 2006. A voice of an angel, who wouldn't want to hear it live.

7. McFly

According to YouGov data commissioned by viagogo 68% of Brits would attend a concert by the very first artist they saw – even if they were retired. McFly may have never retired but they were a lot of Millennials' first concert, so there's no surprise they're number seven on the list because whose life wasn't changed when they heard "5 Colours in Her Hair" for the first time?!

JLS may have not won X Factor in 2008, but their impact changed the UK for the better. They sang, they danced, and they won our hearts, so when a reunion tour was announced Brits flocked like they'd never flocked before to see Aston do his iconic backflip just one more time.

5. S Club 7

The year was 1998, and the charts were full of girl bands and boy bands but the market was itching for a mixed group, then came the birth of S Club 7. Scoring a number 1 radio hit with their debut single "Bring It All Back", S Club 7 could not be stopped and the group achieved 13 top 10 hits in just four years. So as you can imagine when their tour was announced in February the UK went feral and ticket sales were flying. 

4. Busted

You were either a Busted girl or McFly girl growing up, and I was a Busted girl. The teenage heartthrob group announced a reunion tour at the top of 2023 and to say it was a smash would be underselling it. Their reunion album after over eight years went straight to UK number 1 featuring other boy band legends such as Jonas Brothers, Hanson, and even Simple Plan. 

3. Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time, being this high on the list should be no surprise. Attempting to get tickets to "An Evening With Kylie Minogue" was like trying to beat Usain Bolt in the Olympics, it took every cell in your body to fight out thousands for those tickets. Brits of all ages will be flocking to her Vegas residency running through May in 2024 to see the Australian legend in all her glory.

2. Madonna

In January 2024, the 64-year-old icon, Madonna announced a celebration tour spanning her incredible 40-year career. The Queen of Pop launched a 35-city tour in July and kept having to add new dates due to demand. Madonna holds 13 number ones in the UK and holds the record for most number ones by a solo artist in the country, so there's no surprise this tour sold out the way that it did for Brits.

31 studio albums, three live albums, 10 soundtrack albums, 16 compilation albums, four extended plays, three tribute albums, four collaboration albums, and two holiday albums. Elton John performed his retirement tour in 2023 and can you blame him? He has not stopped working since he debuted in 1962. A generational talent, our forever music man, so of course he will be number one on this list because Brits love Elton John.
