This Guy Proposed To His Girlfriend With A McDonald's Burger And She Wasn't Having It

    Will you McMarry me?

Michael Joseph has been dating his girlfriend Ann for two years, and ever since their first date at McDonald's, she has joked that he would probably propose to her over chicken nuggets. So naturally, he did almost exactly that.

Michael told BuzzFeed that he "had gone in a week prior to talk to the manager. I wasn't sure they would be on board and also nervous that the staff would mess this up. I offered to pay as well but they were cool with just helping out."

He had also rehearsed the order. "She would suggest Coke and I would correct her by saying Diet Coke. That's how they knew I was in line." But he hadn't thought about how to ask Ann to open up the bun and sort of ad-libbed it in the moment. "I was kind of making it up on the spot about too much mayonnaise."

Ann certainly thought nothing of the random McDonald's stop, but definitely seemed a bit weirded out when Michael asked her to make sure there was no mayo on his burger.

When she opened up the burger and saw the ring staring back at her, she was shocked and couldn't help but laugh!

She slowly turned to Michael, and that's when he popped the question.

Ann had no idea what to say! She couldn't believe this was happening.

Girl was flabbergasted! "This is not what you do," she told Michael, between laughs.

Michael reached over and grabbed the ring to put it on her finger, but Ann wasn't having it.

"This is a joke," Ann told Michael. "You can't ask me to marry you on a chicken sandwich."

Michael was clearly bummed, as he had even asked her dad beforehand and had done a lot of work to make the proposal happen. On his YouTube account he says, "We agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged."
