This Woman Tried To Live Like Kylie Jenner For A Week And It Was Exhausting

"It might sound like an easy job, but devoting a huge chunk of time and thought every day to your makeup, hair, and outfit, plus to taking the perfect photo, all while maintaining a full-time job, is not easy."

Brooke Shunatona from Cosmopolitan decided to try to live like Kylie Jenner for a week — fake nails, wigs, and all. This is how it all went down:

"Kylie Jenner and I lead very different lives. Unlike Kylie, I rarely take selfies, just learned how to use Snapchat, have never colored my hair or worn fake nails before, and generally don't wear makeup."

Her makeup routine was EXTREME: "I incorporated actual products Kylie uses or recommends into my routine. It would take me almost an hour each day to complete my makeup — a big change for someone who doesn't even wear concealer most days."

The outfits were also a whole other element. People on the street would stare at Brooke and she "couldn't tell if they were looking at me because I was wearing a bra or because they were trying to figure out who I was."

"Either way, it was a little uncomfortable, and I thought about how strange it must feel to be famous, and have people stare at you all the time and take pictures without asking."

By the end of the week, Brooke couldn't believe how drained she felt. Even though Kylie looks like she relaxes and spends her days eating Popeyes and chillin', she's busy AF.

"It might sound like an easy job, but devoting a huge chunk of time and thought every day to your makeup, hair, and outfit, plus to taking the perfect photo, all while maintaining a full-time job, is not easy. Many times in my life, I've watched a celebrity on reality TV and said to myself, 'It seriously can't be that hard. Get over yourself.' But there is something very emotionally draining about investing so much energy in the way you look and deliberately putting yourself out there for people to judge."
