Taco Bell Is OUT Of Nachos Nationwide

After the release of the new Grande Nachos Box, America has run out of nacho chips.

After work today, I visited Taco Bell and went to order my normal quesadilla meal, and a side of nachos and cheese. But the drive-thru worker dropped a bombshell on me...they are completely out of nachos nationwide.

I tried searching around to find any articles about this travesty, but could find none. So I went to the Taco Bell sub-reddit and found a pinned post that let me know what was going on.

User tacobellblake shared the info given out to all the Taco Bell stores:

“We are in the middle of record-breaking sales this week driven by the success of the $5 Grande Nachos Box.”

“The high volume of sales is causing intermittent gapping of Nacho Chips. Restaurants will experience this supply shortage for the next 7-10 days throughout the majority of our system. Each restaurant may be out for a few days at a time as we catch up. “

    EFFECT:
“ALL restaurants to remove Grande Nachos Box POP from exterior and interior menu boards”

“By Saturday, May 25, the following items, including the $5 Grande Nachos Box, will be removed from kiosks, mobile, tacobell.com, and delivery:
    Chips and Salsa
    Chips and Guacamole
    Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce
    Chips and Pico de Gallo
    Nachos BellGrande
    Nachos BellGrande Combo
    Nachos Supreme
    Triple Layer Nachos”

I find it insane that all Taco Bell restaurants nationwide can be out of nachos, but hopefully this will show them to prepare when they release a new item in the future.

For the next 7-10 days, we will all have to deal with our nacho cravings in solidarity. Maybe try something new on the menu, or just your old favorites.

Also, apparently the Caramel Apple Empanada has been discontinued. Today is just full of sad news.
