According to space agencies such as Space X, and Boeing, human will be colonizing Mars by the 2030s. It will be the first time in the existing human history. This is certainly a small step but a GIANT leap for humankind!

Technological innovations have long been playing an indispensable role in dedication to higher living standards and the overall betterment for humanity. In the prehistory, our ancestors have developed the stone, bronze, and iron technologies (Tools) in assistance of their daily duties; and then, it was the use of fire transformed humankind into a whole new level of species where the journey of a more vigorous exploration of natural energy sources begins. Remarkably, the smoke signal, as a primitive technology of communication has succeeded in building the fundamental premise of a type-1 civilization; the impact of such ripple had brought us in to the digital age in the 21st century.

1. Telegram

Telegram (or Telegraph), one of the greatest invention in the 18th century invented by Samuel Finley Breese Morse (April 27, 1791–April 2, 1872). As a pioneer in the field of telecommunication, It established the methods of digitalized information where people can finally connect with each other globally in a relatively mediate sense and a easier manner, say, comparing to a writing a letter. However, it was once considered luxury items due to its expensive practice. According to media scholars, "Every letter, every space between the words are precious". Furthermore, there's another issue known as the "Last Mile" problem regarding its distribution to the receivers, it has carried with it the concern of privacy and network-neutrality. Therefore, it was replaced by the invention of Telephone.

2. Telephone

Inventor: Alexander Graham Bell, (March 3, 1847-- August 2, 1922).

Since people wouldn't stand in line for hours at the telegram terminal just to receive a telegraph, someone had to be there for the distribution, the concern of Network Neutrality was arouse regarding whether someone would leak your information out well before it finally arrives in your hand. Telephone was then invented in attempt to solve those problems. First, you don't have to go to a terminal every time you receive a message hence no one has to be there to distribute the telegram, saving labours and time. Second, Morse code was the method used in telegram messages, and it was comparatively hard for civilians who have no ideas how the code works to use than just picking up a telephone and say "Hello". Third, most importantly, you will have the freedom of privacy, making secret call that only a machine will be mediated between you and the receiver. Now, isn't it a great invention?

Now this invention is crucial to the later development of cinematography as it combines camera and projector This technology is also known as the Kinetograph which can film up to about 40 frames per second.

In a technical sense, the Internet can do all the things that the previous telecommunication technologies can do, shocking right? let me tell you how. The origin of internet, perhaps, same as most of the communications tool was of military purpose; it was created with an idea that it can withstand a nuclear war and still be operating in a prompt and precise manner.

What makes the internet the most powerful tool of all is that it is the ultimate convergence of the computing and information technology, communication network, and digitalized content (A.K.A 4Cs)which means that it has all these attributes: Manipulable, Networkable, Dense, Compressible, Impartial.

With all these properties, it defies both space and time, Think, once you upload your information on the internet, it’s always going to be there, being copied and downloaded millions of times, you will always be able to “go back in time” and see your childhood pictures on Facebook, even at your old age, for as long as the internet is not destroyed. The existence of such hyperspace creates no geographical and time barriers for human communication of any sorts, be it political, economic or cultural.
