Anyone that knows me can tell you that I am absolutely obsessed with horror movies and Halloween in general. Compiling this list of my top 10 favorite Halloween movies was extremely tricky, but I hope you can find the perfect movie to get in the spooky spirit! Enjoy!

10. ParaNorman

Directed by Sam Fell & Chris Butler, Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck

Norman is a normal 11-year-old boy. Except he can talk to the dead. After a witch's curse arrives in Norman's town, which also brings a slew of zombies, it's up to Norman and his friends to defend the town from the spirits and the dead.

9. Psycho

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Starring Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles

A young woman stays at the very creepy Bates Motel after attempting to steal money from her boss, only to find a charming hotel owner and a not-so-great shower.

8. Paranormal Activity

Directed by Oren Peli, Starring Katie Featherston, Micah Sloat

Katie and Micah, a young suburban couple, start experiencing strange happenings in their house, so they begin to film the supernatural occurrences.

7. Sleepy Hollow

Directed by Tim Burton, Starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Miranda Richardson

Ichabod Crane travels to the town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of murders committed by the Headless Horseman.

6. Trick 'r Treat

Directed by Michael Dougherty, Starring Dylan Baker, Anna Paquin, Brian Cox

A series of intertwined stories on Halloween night, all including a small demon named Sam, teach us that breaking All Hallow's Eve traditions can be deadly.

5. Halloweentown

Directed by Duwayne Dunham, Starring Kimberly J. Brown, Judith Hoag, Debbie Reynolds

Young Marnie discovers she is a Cromwell witch with special powers, a truth that takes her to Halloweentown with her grandmother. There, she must confront an evil curse and use her new powers to save the town.

4. Monster House

Directed by Gil Kenan, Starring Steve Buscemi, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mitchel Musso

No one goes near Mr. Nebercracker's house, and for good reason. It comes alive, especially around Halloween, and DJ, Chowder, and Jenny are the only ones that can beat the house from eating the entire neighborhood.

3. Halloween

Directed by John Carpenter, Starring Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, PJ Soles

Michael Myers killed his sister when he was six years old. Years later, he escapes a mental institution and heads back to Haddonfield on Halloween to continue his murderous plot against teenagers and babysitters.

Directed by Wes Craven, Starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox

The town of Woodsboro is shaken when young Casey is murdered after being taunted on the phone with the famous line "what's your favorite scary movie?" The next person to get a call is Sidney Prescott, who has to fight for her life against the evil Ghostface.

1. Hocus Pocus

In the penultimate Halloween movie, the Sanderon sisters are resurrected by a teenage boy named Max. Now, in order to stop them from stealing the youth of all of the town's children, Max, his friend Allison, and his sister Dani must use the witches' magic to return them to the grave.
