8 Up-And-Coming Young Photographers Reimagine London’s Landmarks

Upcoming photographers showing London’s top landmarks from a different perspective

1. Ben Shmulevitch – Buckingham Palace

A photographer since his early teens, over the past 10 years he has developed his own unique style. Much of his work is editorial and travel focused which contributes towards his work as a graphic designer.

2. Chloe Newman – London Eye

A fashion, music and still life photographer, she studied at LCC University of the Arts London and graduated in 2014. Her photography focuses on freedom of expressing, creating a new and unique perspective.

3. Genea Bailey and Daisy Ware-Jarrett – Millennium Bridge

The duo met while studying photography at Coventry University, where they quickly realised they worked well as a team and were able to bring out each other's strong points. Their photography allows them to see the world through other people’s eyes, different cultures and points of view presenting the world in a completely unique way.

4. Jolade Olusanya – St Paul’s Cathedral

Jolade started out as a filmmaker before he began experimenting with photography. He’s a fly-on-the-wall photographer capturing the world without pose or interruption. London is Jolade’s inspiration for his work and spurred his move into photography.

5. Lamarr Golding – Tower Bridge

Lamarr studied at Kingston College and has since featured in the likes of GQ and The Independent. A true London explorer and keen free-runner, he uses his acrobatic curiosity to capture London from a myriad of unique perspectives. He describes the city as a photographer’s playground.

6. Tatenda Nyamande – Tate Modern

Following the death of his father in his late teens, Tatenda used photography was a way to grieve and express his emotions creatively. He bought his first camera to document the unveiling of his father tombstone, a traditional cultural practice that occurs in Zimbabwe and transformed his interest into a promising career.

7. Juliette Carton – The Shard

Juliette took up photography at her local youth club when she was 14. Later, she went on to study at London College of Communication and combines her love of music with her photography, shooting live music and promotional content most weeks. Through her pictures, she wants people to experience things that real life may not give them a chance to see.

8. Nicholas Constant – Big Ben

At just 16, Nick followed his dream to leave school to pursue photography. Currently studying at the Royal College of Art. Nick has already shown his work at Brighton’s Cream 15 exhibition, was published in Source Magazine and most recently won the Magnum Graduate Photographers Award 2016.
