Ash Leone 4 months agoWhile I agree that society puts a lot of pressure of black women to conform to european standards, not every style choice is a political statement. I rock a fro and when I got a haircut last week the hair dresser straightened my hair. Now it’ll be straight until I wash it. Neither is a statement, just a hairstyle. You grow up, you do weird stuff with your hair. Or you don’t. It’s about feeling comfortable and beautiful, or in my case being too lazy to do anything to alter the natural state of hair.

So what… she’s blonde?I actually like the hair color a lot…. her eyes have always been like that… she lost weight which is obviously due to working out… AND BY THE WAY A LOT OF BLACK WOMEN ARE TWO TONED…my hands are darker then my face, and my stomach is the lightest part of my body.

magnificentq 5 months agothis older woman needs to love herself. As we age there are just somethings we don’t need to do. The did bleach her skin. She had beautiful dark brown skin, now she looks a blotchy med brown. I am not against hair dyes but make sure it fits your skin tone. It’s like a mid life crisis when women and men strive for a youthful, daring look. By all means keep yourself healthy but true beauty comes from inside radiating out. You will eat better and exercise not lighten skin and be fake with tons of make up and skimpy clothes. Our beauty will change into something more meaningful as we age. This woman was gorgeous and I’m sure she still is but we can’t see it with all the junk.
