Will Smith: Jaden, my sixteen-year-old, he has one pair of shoes.
Esquire: That's it?
Will Smith: He has three pair of pants and he has five shirts.
Esquire: Total?
Will Smith: Total. He has refused to be a slave to money. I so respect that.
The natural reaction here is "HEY! That can't be right."

Conclusion:
To Will Smith's credit it appears that Jaden has worn the same TWO pairs of shoes for the last year or so. But a quick sample from Getty Images showed us at least THIRTEEN pairs in the past four years.
