12 Signs You Were Meant To Work With Animals

Some things are just written in the stars! Even if you don’t work with animals, you can still visit them! Take a trip to the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, or New York Aquarium and get inspired!

1. You couldn't have cared less about playing doctor with other kids, because all you wanted to do was examine your pets.

2. You love every single kind of critter — even the atypically cute ones!

3. Growing up, your business was petsitting instead of babysitting.

4. Your favorite subject in school was biology...

5. ...and you stayed late after class just to watch the tadpoles turn into frogs.

6. You went through a phase where you would only read books about dolphins when you were nine.

7. Your first "job" was a volunteer at an animal shelter.

8. You longingly day-dreamed about what it would be like to hang out with penguins all day.

9. All you wished for when you blew out your birthday candles was a puppy, a kitten, or both.

10. You had a countdown calendar and COULDN'T WAIT for the best day of the school year — a field trip to the aquarium, zoo, or farm.

11. You rescue any injured animal you come across and compassionately nurse them back to health.

12. And you absolutely couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

Take a walk on the wild side, only at the WCS’s Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, or New York Aquarium!
