A.Leigh 2 months agoI think that depends on the person. The couples who stay in and watch movies on Friday nights are spending a lot less than the single people hanging out at the bar or whatever. (Likewise, the couples going out are spending a lot more than the single people staying in. Obviously.)

Yeah, it def depends on the couple. My fiancé and I make a middle-class living, but we don’t spend the “extra” money on going out. We make our dinners at home because we budget our grocery shopping. This leaves us with money to take trips or buy the things he or I want. Also, it could just be the type of person that you are with—maybe they have more expectations than you or maybe you’re not communicating your finances fully to your significant other?
