I saw the video of this awhile ago & cried for an hour on my rescue pup’s shoulder (she was an abused stray too). I could not imagine ever walking away from any animal in the street. How do people ignore them? Thank god for the people that don’t!

rescues are the best. in 1985, we were walking our dog, edith, around the block in a cold early may rain, when we saw an emaciated terrier mix literally lying in the gutter. ms. blig whistled and she picked up her head and followed us. at first we thought she was an elderly dog because she was so skinny, but the vet told us she was only 7-8 months. long story short, after we fattened her up and named her flossie, she became the most loyal and protective watch dog. one time, after blig jr was born, ms. blig’s niece and her husband came to visit. as one of them was holding blig jr, he started to fuss a little and flossie gave a “don’t mess with my boy” warning growl. she was a great dog who took the “pledge of allegiance to the pack” very seriously.

This made me cry like a little baby. I love dogs, own a doggie myself and I cannot believe how heartless some people can be. It’s disgusting. They should treated the same way they treat animals.
