So here’s the thing. I love animals, I really do. I mean, I’m an aardvark, for god’s sake! But I do wonder if these pictures that humans fawn over do more harm than good with regards to interspecies relations. We sit here ogling pictures of animals with no inquiry into their personality or consideration of what’s behind those fluffy tails and pointy ears. Isn’t this the type of objectification the women’s movement called attention to?

I’m just gonna be “that guy” and point out that David Bowie does not in fact have heterochromia. Instead, one of his pupils is permanently dilated due to a fight he was in when he was a teenager. It gives the appearance of being a different color, but the iris is still the same shade of blue as his other eye. That being said, these cats are awesome.

Why not showcase some of the other types of heterochromia? Some types only affect one eye, be it a blue eye with a dark brown spot or the inner part of the eye being blue but brown on the outer bit. I actually know two people with this, as well, and unfortunately it’s sometimes a medical issue.
