1. Gone With The Wind (1939)
More than 70 years later, this is still a solid comeback.
2. Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (1985)
This may be the best comeback of all time, because it leaves your verbal sparring partner completely defenseless.
3. Billy Madison (1995)
Let your adversaries know that you weren’t impressed by their words.
4. The Big Lebowski (1998)
Another good one when someone criticizes you and you don’t have a good response. Everything is relative when you really think about it. What even are words?
5. Reservoir Dogs (1992)
Pull this bad boy out when you’re dealing with loudmouths and blowhards.
6. Wayne’s World (1992)
You can abruptly end a diatribe of curses with this holier-than-thou comeback.
7. Dirty Dancing (1987)
This is a great way to respond whenever anyone says something that puts you in a pickle.
8. Braveheart (1995)
This works surprisingly well as a comeback because it implies you could care less about anything.
9. Home Alone (1990)
This is a smart-ass way to let someone know they’re a dumb idiot. By the time they figure out your fancy French, you’ll be long gone.
10. Mean Girls (2004)
Putting down someone’s appearance is a low blow and should only be used as a last resort, but if you’re gonna do it, this is a pretty effective line.
