A new video from Girl Pants Productions, a YouTube sketch comedy group, shows just how ridiculous homophobic comments can sound:

"We'll give you a hint: it sounds insane," the video description states.
Alex Hluch, the writer and producer of the sketch, told BuzzFeed News the group was inspired to create the clip after watching marriage equality coverage on the news.
"Over the last year, while that battle was going, I saw the most LUDICROUS answers given by politicians on why they are against marriage equality. It came to the point where I would legitimately become surprised when I would see a clip of a politician attempting to explain their stance on the subject while obviously being so out of touch with reality," Hluch said.
"We grew up in a small town and we have a penchant for wearing women's pants – they just fit better. So growing up where we did, when we did, we definitely saw the absurdity of homophobia," Hluch explained.
And yes, that is how the group got its name!
"I hope people get that homophobia is absurd, and that there's absolutely nothing to fear or hate from people whose sole mission is love."
