In Cringe-Inducing Interview, Pennsylvania Gov. Compares Same-Sex Marriage To Incest

"You know, I think a much better analogy would have been brother and sister, don't you?"

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett had an interview this morning with WHP-TV in Harrisburg, PA.

The governor was asked to clarify a statement made by his lawyers from a court filing this August in the challenge to the state's ban on same-sex couples marrying.

In the brief, his attorneys stated:

"Had the clerk issued marriage licenses to 12-year-olds in violation of state law, would anyone seriously contend that each 12-year-old . . . is entitled to a hearing on the validity of his 'license'?"

Corbett, who previously called that statement "inappropriate," responded:

    Before swiftly nose-diving into this:

    *crickets*

    *nervous laughter*

    Internal dialogue: "Help me."
