LOST DETROIT Premieres Tonight At The Downtown Independent In Los Angeles

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: “Lost Detroit” premiere screening May 9th at Downtown Independent Los Angeles, CA May 3, 2016 - In Wonderland Films presents the premiere screening of “Lost Detroit,” Monday evening, May 9th at the Downtown Independent theater in Los Angeles. Doors open at 8pm, with the screening beginning at 8:30pm. This 30-minute presentation will feature the abbreviated version of the pilot for the proposed series, and industry professionals are encouraged to attend. The event will feature refreshments and a cash bar, with red carpet arrivals prior to the screening and a brief reception with cast and crew following the film. Members of the press are also invited to attend and cover the event. Set against the backdrop of the once bustling Motor City, USA, “Lost Detroit” is a gritty tale of crime, injustice, and revolution. Part edgy thriller, part dark comic satire, part powerful drama about a magnificent, struggling American city, “Lost Detroit” examines the spirit of Detroit and its people as they fight to survive and rebuild, amidst chaos, violence, and corruption. In the pilot, shot in both Detroit and LA, writer-director Dane Story (The Long Love) tells the story of Jake Moretti (Stephen Sullivan), a hustling Detroit businessman, part-time high school teacher and baseball coach, who has jump-started a small real estate company with his high school baseball teammate and best friend, Carl Young (Eric Bivens-Bush). An ordinary day in the Detroit grind brings Jake face to face with diverse swaths of the Motor City underworld. For the first time ever, Jake seriously ponders giving up on his beloved home town. Simultaneously, he falls deeper into the vortex of Detroit crime syndicates -- from street gangs to Mafioso organizations. Jake's chance encounter with the Detroit Italian Mafia plants the seeds for a long overdue social and political uprising. To finally claim Detroit for the people, Jake realizes vigilante justice is the only way to make things right. In addition to Sullivan (Mad Men, Vinyl) and Bivens-Bush (Burn Notice), the cast features Evan Arnold (fresh off a stirring performance in the series finale of Mad Men) and Alexis Boozer Sterling (of the hit online series Emma Approved). The Downtown Independent Theater is located at 251 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 RSVP requested for attendees and press.
