People didnt’ use to socialize in public toilets but in the public spa. Every citizen ended the day bathing in the very common and lage spas around the city. You could have business meetings, meet friends, workout and show your muscles to the girls… it was a really social place to meet people and pass the time before supper. The anciento Rome spa consisted in 3 large pools: calidarium, frigidarium and tepidarium: hot, cold and medium temerpature water. They used to move from pool to pool.
