Lou Burns, a mother of three, has caused a stir online by sharing snaps of what Claridge's ordered her to wear when she was breastfeeding in the luxury hotel.
Burns was having afternoon tea with her family when staff quickly brought over a huge white napkin to cover her while she breastfed (see above).
Burns said she burst into tears after staff members at the hotel explained that they did not want to "offend" the other guests.
She described the hotel policy as "Victorian" to the Evening Standard, adding: "I have three children and this is the first time I have been able to breastfeed properly. Women are under so much pressure to breastfeed and it is not always easy. I did not expect to be made to feel I have done something wrong."
