itmustbeken a year agoThe Richard Dawkins argument should scare anyone with an education. He explains religion as a ‘virus’ and that ‘infects’ people to propagate itself. And those infected people are somehow inferior or stupid to his clearly rational and superior train of thought. I’m not going to let Dawkins virus get into my system. His virus dehumanizes people based on their beliefs. History has shown where that kind of thinking leads to.

Mike K. a year agoDear angry atheists.It’s obnoxious because Jesus is a figurehead of a group of people, and to say something that has no real bearing and would be considered offensive by that group is,well,douchey. It’s the same reason you’d call a theist a douche for saying your ideas are wrong. Live and let live,otherwise we’re all just a buncha dicks

Happy Dude a year agoRichard Dawkins is not a “great scientist.” He invented the idea of the “meme”… serious laboratory study involved here. He says no great scientists would ever believe in God… so Newton, Maxwell, Faraday etc… oh but he says they weren’t really serious about it and if they were alive today they would all be little Dawkins clones. Probably devoted to the study of “memes” as well. Get over yourself guys.

soylentgreenispeople a year agoDorsey Shaw is right. To suggest Jesus would be an atheist if he lived today is obnoxious, extremely offensive to both Christians and Muslims, and most importantly, absurd! How on earth could anyone suggest Jesus would be an atheist if he lived now? What’s the evidence for this? So because he was intelligent he would automatically decided not to believe in God? Then why didn’t he do so in his own time? There are plenty of incredibly intelligent people who believe in God. I cannot see how living 2011 would have changed someone so radically. Jesus would have still have been born and brought up Jewish. I’m so tired of Richard Dawkins, he’s always looking for new ways to grab the headlines. I don’t see why atheists spend so much energy on something they don’t believe in. It’s like a vegetarian constantly talking about meat.
