clintonk2 3 months agoUp until 1989, Queen’s policy was to give the lyricist of the song all the songwriting credit. So Freddie definitely wrote the lyrics to “Bohemian Rhapsody”, but it’s likely the other 3 members of the band could have composed some of the music. Maybe. Maybe not. And “Bohemian Rhapsody” was produced by 5 people: Roy Thomas Baker plus all 4 members of Queen.

jairoj 10 months agoBeyonce’s song are wicked repetitious, it isn just one. queen might have one or two song that are repetitious, but for example bicycle was meant to be funny. And beyonce does have an army of producers and writers behind her. So is not that is old vs new, it’s the difference between an artist and just a performer.

For the record, I love me some Queen - I just hate the god complex everyone seems to have about music that pre-dates their birth year. I’m glad people think they’re so high-and-mighty because they uh, “don’t listen to that terrible mainstream music.” Yeah! You’re so wild, awesome and different! Stick it to those evil record companies that just want to make money and don’t care about artistic merit! Ignore the fact that music has been like that since the 60’s and that the amazing Beatles were just as much as a money-grabbing brand as Justin Bieber. People want to be the fucking heroes and show everyone “real” music. Be the hero and shut the fuck up. Nobody in any place, ever has the right to tell somebody what is good and what is not good. If a 12 year old kid thinks “Boyfriend” is the most important song in the world to them then guess what? It’s the most important song in the world to them. Get out of here with your fucking “real” music bullshit. All music is real no matter how it’s created. If I wanted to take my keyboard and smash it across my monitor to a beat, I’m making music and it’s as real as whatever it is you listen to. -

A quick Wikipedia search shows that “Bohemian Rhapsody” was actually produced by five people (the four members of Queen and Roy Thomas Baker). ???

Music dies along time ago thanks to the media sexualizing kids thus leading to a bunch of pointless songs about clubbing sex drugs and alcohol. I don’t listen to the radio cuz I know if I hear call me maybe One more time I might just go find that girl and kill her. So I stay away. I just listen to my music on my iPhone. Thanks beyonce and lady gaga for ruining it for the rest of us.
