OTOH, I was listening to a radio show with William Shattner and he got Star Trek and Star Wars mixed up. Which shouldn’t really happen. Bonus WTF: my employee, who is apparently not a geek to work for me, said. “Hey, we got Han Solo encased in Kryptonite ice cube molds in.” I was flabbergasted.

An employee of mine, who is not blessed with nerdiness, actually said, “Look, here’s a toy of Han Solo encased in Kryptonite.” I facepalmed.

My only concern, and sorry about this, is boys like me growing up without fathers, who might be influenced overly much by a gay scoutmaster. Growing up, my father figures were literally Captain James T Kirk, Carl Sagan and (later) Ernest Hemingway, since I had no father or guy around at all. If I’d had a smart, intelligent but gay scoutmaster it would have been cool (the smart and intelligent part), but I feel like I might have been influenced in that direction when I was too young to think critically about anything.  This is my only concern — personally I say, lift any ban but consider the fact that scoutmasters are in an extremely unique position in the eyes of those boys, and see what other ideas we can come up with relating to these leaders. Will I be banned from Buzzfeed for expressing these thoughts?

Why is it a problem to say Fuck on the air? The word is not mentioned once in the Bible. Shouldn’t that be all America cares about?

I run Mac at my company since I work a lot, like 12-15 hours a day. Having a computer I actually like is way more important than anything else. If you think there’s a “Mac tax” you’re ignoring the many studies that show Macs have a lower total cost of ownership. But it’s okay, be snarky and anti-hipster all you like.

It would be Carl. I’ve read every book he wrote, and had to put down his last, Billions and Billions, in which he died of cancer at the end, because my own mother died of cancer while I was in the middle of it. It…deeply affected me to say the least. Thanks, Carl, we love you totally!
