A carnival staple in the likes of Texas, deep-fried beer is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, and it is the definition of "love it or hate it."

2. Corn Chip Pie

This behemoth of Southern goodness is comprised of chili, cheese, and whatever else melted over a heapin' pile of corn chips. Traditionally served in the actual corn chip bag.

It's the most important 2-for-1 south of the Mason-Dixon line! True Southerners find a way to stick even more between those crunchy buttermilk buns, like eggs or gravy. Use of syrup is, obviously, unrestricted.

Hushpuppies are like corn bread, only a thousand times better. Born from a simple, buttery cornmeal batter, these poppable pups are perfection. If you so choose, you can swap milk for beer in the recipe and end up with a tangier, party-ready dish.
