1. Experiments of the denim kind.
Being fashion forward is always a good idea, but these are pushing it a bit. A good pair of slim fit or skinny jeans instantly make you look cool.
2. All the outfits from your crazy rave days.
Not that you didn’t wear this to regular parties, also. Who needs glitter when you can glow?
3. Albino leather.
Lots of guys go to college thinking they will be the cool leather jacket guy in their dorm. The collar on this jacket is nice. If it were in black or brown, this would be the perfect fall coat.
4. Sleepwear as awake-wear.
We know you were late to your philosophy lecture but pajamas in public are just not acceptable if you’re over the age of 3.
5. Weird graphic t-shirts.
Unless it is the funniest thing you have ever read in your entire life, these shirts are hard to wear. They are a great way to show your personality, though. But you can’t go wrong with a plain or vintage t-shirt.
6. Popped collars. Multiple popped collars.
The hair doesn’t help, or the white wide-brimmed cap. This guy’s head is where it is supposed to be, but the undershirt on top of it throws this look off. One shirt at a time, next time.
7. Goofball color-coordination.
College kids are constantly fearing they look too dressed up, or adult. As you get older you learn that a shirt and tie look good by themselves.
8. Adventurous hat wear.
Try wearing a t-shirt with a trilby. This makes these old timey hats look nonchalant and cool.
9. DIY cuffing.
This is a common mistake. Cuffing your pants is a great solution to cleaning up your look. Next time buy more tailored pants so the cuff looks neater.
10. Wrap-around sunglasses.
These sporty glasses can look a bit out of place if you are not in an outdoorsy setting. A more classic shape, like Clubmasters (look it up) always looks great.
