Best Hate Mail for the Week: July 26, 2015
I serve as the Executive Director for a nonprofit that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and questioning (LGBTQ) youth through education, outreach, and advocacy. In this role I have the opportunity to sometimes be in the news. As a result, this means I get some interesting emails, facebook messages, or other comments from around the country. Instead of hiding under my desk, I decided to show everyone what is sent to me after religious right organizations post falsehoods on this organization's work. This extremist hate is something kids are faced with on a daily basis. Instead of letting these bullies have any power, let's make this a new weekly game of which hate mail is the best! It's up to you to choose your favorite hate mail of the week. If you are as disturbed as I am from this hate directed at an LGBTQ youth group - you can do something about it!
