Politician Who Was A Vegetarian For 35 Years Eats Chick-Fil-A To Support Family Values
Don Redman, a Jacksonville, Florida councilman, who was also A VEGETARIAN FOR 35 YEARS, decided to eat a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich because he wanted to support family values. 35 YEARS!!!!
Back in August, Don Redman of Jacksonville, Florida left vegetarianism behind to “make a statement.”
He told Action News:
“It means that much to me to make a statement. Mr. Cathy is a good man. I want to honor him and his stand.”
Don Redman is back in the news because he voted “no” on Jacksonville’s anti-discrimination clause. One of his constituents emailed him, and Redman responded by calling him a “miserable individual.”
He’s a real class act!

dmh386 7 months agoPeople are so terrible. I have a family member who is super conservative and religious. He never ate at Chick-Fil-A before, but once they started all of this “biblical marriage” bullshit he was so proud of the fact that he “must’ve eaten there like, six times in a week!!” If I roll my eyes any harder, they will fall out.

Proving (for the millionth time) that, no, the buycott of Chick-fil-A had NOTHING to do with free speech, but bigoted-America’s desire to support the content of Cathy’s speech. Had he substituted ‘interracial,’ for ‘gay,’ there certainly would not have been lines out the door of support for his “freedom to speak.”

your mom 7 months agoIf you look at chic-fil-a’s total yearly sales in 2009 ($3.2 Billion) versus what they donated to organizations ($1.7 Million) That’s about 0.0005% of their sales. If you buy an $8.00 meal, you are donating half a penny. That means he could buy $2000 of food a year and it would only come out to $1.00 donation. Yeah. Good job buddy.
