dear pop and rap artists: stop singing about yourselves, goddammit! i rarely listen to country music but i have truckloads of respect for country artists because all of their songs are written beautifully and actually tell a fucking story. top 40 hits are nothing but repetitive words/phrases and several variations of “bling”
