People Who Watch Fox News Are Dumber Than People Who Watch No News At All
Fairleigh Dickinson University recently questioned 612 adults in New Jersey about how they get their news. Their results will probably not surprise you.
Respondents were first asked whether, to the best of their knowledge, opposition groups in Egypt had been successful in bringing down the Mubarak regime.
The survey found Fox viewers were 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians toppled their government than people who watched NO NEWS AT ALL.
“The results show us that there is something about watching Fox News that leads people to do worse on these questions than those who don’t watch any news at all,” said Dan Cassino, a political science professor at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Although I do see at least some viable thread in the trend they suggest. -As in my experience, extreme Conservatives are more likely to be ignorant, uneducated HS-dropout idiots, and extreme Libs are more likely to be educated but dumb smart-people & easily radicalized tail-chasing Communist Loons. That being said, Fairleigh Dickinson is not exactly Yale. And the potential IQ bracket of anyone who would take a study coming out of FD at face-value as Gospel, erm… -
